I'm an Alaskan living on Ohio. I crochet cozy little goodies for my Etsy Shop.
This is a collection of things that I make, inspiration, and things that make me smile.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Too legit to knit.
my WIP is a set of maroon beanies for some Buddhist monks. I’m on number 13 of 21. Must keep going…

Check out this crocodile wedding dress!
I’ve seen lots of very neat crochet projects and today this one caught my eye. It is pretty inspiring.
I would make a warm cozy poncho with a cowl neck made out of super soft natural colored wool.
Why? because it would be the best thing ever.
This would be fun for a hat or blanket!
Free snail crochet pattern!

My favorite project (recently) is probably this darling little Ewok balaclava. I made it for a friend who originally wanted just a hat, but then a big cowl that would pull up over her head. I mixed the two and made this knowing it would stay on a little head way better as a hat than a cowl.
The pattern is my own. It’s essentially a regular baby sized hat, then once the hat was long enough in the front I stopped working in rounds and made a little mullet. When that was long enough to leave a big hole for the face, I chained to make the front of the bottom part and continued stitching in the round. I added little ears and trim around the face to give it those sweet Ewok accents.
Hmm.. So far my biggest peeves have been mentioned by others.
-the world’s lack of crochet knowledge/interest. ‘you knit?!’ no….
-yarn stores only having one tiny little crochet hook section and a WHOLE wall of knitting supplies
-when my yarn splits mid stitch

Day 6: My favorite place to crochet is my futon/couch.
Its a link to a video on youtube. My futon! I sit and crochet and drink coffee and watch a movie or two. pretty perfect for the time being.
How do I reblog and add a video??
I’ve been thinking about this all day.
I asked the boy…”I don’t know. Really, what should I say. I don’t know anything about yarn. Also, I don’t really care.” Followed by, “It would be like if I asked you what kind of snow machine I would be.”
So I think I would be a soft, versatile, worsted weight wool blend. Mostly blue with some slight teal variations.
lovely.
